A very mixed vintage due to the weather. The reds benefited from the climate in Tasmania, emerging as very deep and intense. The Mornington Peninsula produced a very mixed range of wines. The Yarra Valley enjoyed drier conditions resulting in a good vintage, particularly with respect to Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. The Geelong vineyards produced high quality Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon, meaning wines with good ageing potential.
