Jordan Wine Estate is a family-owned vineyard in the Stellenbosch appellation, right in the hear of the great vineyards of Cape Town. Founded in 1993 by Kathy and Gary Jordan, Domaine Jordan is swept by the sea breezes of False and Table Bay; the cool nights thus compensate for the heat of the summer evenings. This freshness is found in the finesse and elegance of the wines.
About the cuvée
From vines over 20 years old, 50% of the grapes undergo fermentation and ageing for 7 months on their lees in 228l barrels, the other 50% are fermented and aged in stainless steel vats. The result is very well-balanced wine, fresh, fruity and complex. This pale lemon-yellow wine has a nose of citrus fruits, pear and exotic fruits. On the palate, the fruity notes are well-integrated, and the suppleness makes it a superb wine to taste with cheeses or fish in a lemon, butter sauce.
