The wine
A 14 year old single cask Port Charlotte (#PC641) distilled in 2003 and bottled at cask strength by Hidden Spirits in 2017, matured in a sherry cask. Hidden Spirits is an independent bottler founded in 2013 by Andrea Ferrari. It gained renown with several memorable bottlings of Bowmore, Clynelish and Ben Nevis, among others. Hidden Spirits also owns The Wild Parrot, a collection of rums selected by Stefano Cremaschi that has featured several famed editions of Caroni, Hampden and Demerara.

On 29 May 2001 Bruichladdich began producing Port Charlotte, a whisky peated to 40 ppm. Port Charlotte is now available in a wide range of versions, offering different age statements, casks and barley sources - all accompanying the distillery's other bottlings, Bruichladdich and Octomore.
