Produced from Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, this cuvée has an attractive ruby-red appearance and an elegant aromatic bouquet composed of touches of red and black berries, and intense flowers such as violet, cocoa, mocha and vanilla. The well-rounded, opulent palate is structured by silky tannins, and will become more harmonious with several years of keeping.
Planted on the superb terroir of Montpeyroux, the domain was created by Aimé Commeyras, who comes for an old family of winemakers, and by Dr Pierre-Louis Teissedre, professor of enology at Bordeaux University. Today, the estate is managed by his brother Auguste Commeyras. He and his team produce two aromatic, delicious red wines: Côte Dorée and Côte Rousse. Produced from an austere terroir of limestone scree, Aiguelière's wines combine the flavours of Mediterranean grape varieties with tried and tested vinification methods. Cuvée Prince Pégase is only produced in certain years and is made entirely from Cabernet Sauvignon.
