The wine
This lovely rosé is fruity, light and fresh. It is produced with the “saignée” method after 12 hours of maceration for the reds, cool settling followed by fermentation in stainless-steel vats, a 6-month élevage in stainless-steel vats, with no malolactic fermentation.
About the Producer Yves Leccia
In the heart of the Patrimonio appellation, in the commune of Poghju d'Oletta, domaine d'Yves Leccia is one of the oldest properties. Winegrowing became the Leccia family's main business in around 1900. Pierrot and Angèle passed the property onto their children in the 1980s, one of whom, Yves, set up his own operation some years later. Today, it is his sister Annette who manages the original domain, whose magnificent Petra Bianca plot produces the wine of the same name. The property also produces a Muscat. The property is in the process of obtaining Ecocert organic certification.
This pure Nielluccio, produced from clay-limestone soil, is aged in vats for 24 months. It is a delicate, precise wine, with lovely aromas of red and black ripe fruit, underscored by light floral and menthol notes. Complex and powerful, the palate presents good flavourful substance, characterized by great finesse and a fresh finish, evolving towards elegant tannins. Keep for: 5 to 6 years.
