The atmospheric conditions, particularly the bright, dry and hot summer, were conducive to vine growth. The harvests that were picked under ideal weather conditions produced disease-free and perfectly ripe grapes with an unusually high sugar content. The 1929 wines have a certain likeness to those of 1928. They are soft and mellow with a remarkable vinosity, a nice bouquet and intense colour. This is one of the best vintages of the century.
