Between two ¿vintages of the century¿, 1948 produced some excellent wines. The harvest, less abundant than 1947 and 1949, produced wines with long cellaring capacities. The majority of these great wines, often thought of as harsh in their youth, have developed extremely well. Many of them distinguish themselves by their finesse, their elegance and their perfect balance. Today these wines, compared to those of 1947 and 1949, are excellent value for money.
