The vegetative cycle in 1954 was somewhat unusual. Flowering, although late was very quick thanks to exceptional weather conditions. September, cold and damp throughout, slowed down the ripening process, but October was exceptionally hot and sunny, which allowed the grapes to mature favourably before being harvested. As regards quantity, the harvest was abundant. As for quality, the wines are very diverse. They all have an excellent taste. Generally the wines are pleasant and fragrant.
