  • The Latour family own a part of Romanée-Saint-Vivant since 1898. The parcel next to Romanée Conti is called "Quatre Journaux", which is the ancient Burgundy measure of land that a winemaker could plough over in a day (0.8 ha). The grapes are hand picked and the wine, vinified using traditional methods, is then aged in oak barrels for 18 months. This spicy wine, perfumed with notes of cinnamon and terroir, has a mellow texture that peaks with a strong and persistent finish. Requires a minimum ageing of 15 years.

A family business since its creation in 1797, Louis Latour is one of the most recognised traders/ famers in Burgundy. It has remained a family enterprise for over two centuries and is thus part of the closed circle of the Henokiens. It is now Louis-Fabrice Latour, representative of the 11th generation who is at its head. The Louis Latour house gradually formed a vast domaine, extending from Chambertin to Chevalier-Montrachet: 48 hectares, 28 in grand crus. It cultivates Pinot Noir for its reds and Chardonnay for its whites. Over the last thirty years, the company has also spread in the Ardèche, in the Var and in the Pierres Dorées region, also producing Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. The Maison is committed to a more ecologically friendly and respectful terroir by adopting responsible and sustainable agriculture (limitation of pesticides, compost and ploughing of certain parcels).
