The origins of the Domaine Sylvain Cathiard et Fils date back to the 1920s when Alfred Cathiard began to acquire the first parcels of vines in Vosne. The wine heritage of the family is very prestigious with very fine plots of Nuits-Saint-Georges, Vosne-Romanée, Chambolle-Musigny and Romanée-St-Vivant. The domaine is now managed by Sylvain Cathiard and his son Sébastien. Their wines are of a very high quality and are almost impossible to find in France. They are characterised in particular by their great finesse and their harmony.
About the cuvée
Red fruits at the peak of their maturity blend with gentle aromas of cacao, coffee, and pepper. On the palate, the oaky character introduces a buttery texture with soft tannins and a lovely minerality. It has an ageing potential associated with the finest Vosne-Romanée cuvées.
