Cette appellation est bien sûre liée à l'histoire des pèlerins de Compostelle. Les rouges y sont fins et structurés, leur nez mêle harmonieusement fleurs sauvages, fruits rouges et noirs et humus. More info

Irouléguy is one of the smallest wine producing areas in France, in the north of the Pays Basque; the vines are scattered among the mountain hillsides between the communes of Irouléguy, Saint-Étienne de Baïgorry and Anhaux. It has a rich past, closely associated with the pilgrims on the Santiago de Compostela route, which in the Middle Ages went through Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port and Roncevaux. Made from Tannat, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon, red Irouléguy is a very good wine for laying down. It is characterised by notes of spices and wild flowers, mixed with red and black fruit, humus and undergrowth. Full-bodied and long, these are refined, well-structured wines.

Irouléguy serve at a temperature of 16°C. It will pair perfectly with the following dishes: Tian provençal, Cuisses de canard confites, Parmentier de boudin aux deux pommes.
