    The wine

    Ce chambertin grand cru provient du domaine Frédéric Magnien. L'agriculture y est biodynamique et les vendanges manuelles. La vinification est peu interventionniste et les élevages en fût de chêne sont longs.
    A la dégustation ce chambertin dévoile une robe vive rubis foncé. Le nez exhale des notes de framboise, cassis, réglisse, violette, rose et épices. En bouche on ressent une magnifique puissance ainsi qu'une élégance des tannins. Le corps est complexe et voluptueux. Servez ce vin à 16°C, accompagné d'un magret de canard grillé, d'un bœuf bourguignon ou d'un lièvre à la royale. Il a entre autre un excellent potentiel de garde (au moins 10 ans).

    Frédéric Magnien represents the 5th generation of wine growers of his family. He created his trading house in 1995 and is also in charge of the family domaine (Michel Magnien). He carefully selects his wine growers and the plots that interest him; he manages the harvest personally with his team. He is best known for his red wines but for several years he has also produced white. His wines are characterised by their concentration and their solid character.
