    The wine

Chambertin Clos de Bèze is one of the best known and rarest Burgundy grand crus. On the palate it is pure magic, with its subtle and complex aromas so characteristic of great Côte de Nuits wines: floral and red fruit notes, then over time spices, undergrowth and animal notes emerge.

    Information about domain Pierre Naigeon

In Gevrey-Chambertin, the Naigeons are known above all as a large trading family. Pierre Naigeon trained at the family school, alongside his father and his trading house, Naigeon-Chauveau. But after buying it, he found himself in 1996 with a single hectare and everything to build. He moved quickly towards a biodynamic approach and considered his own identity, more attached to the purity of the fruit than his father was. Today the domaine has extended to 11 hectares, and Pierre Naigeon tirelessly pursues the best expression of his old vines (over 50 years old) and the various micro-climates on which they flourish. To sublimate the fruit, he carries out severe sorting during the harvest and the gentle extraction in the cellar means he can refine the tannins. As a result: Pierre Naigeon’s wines are silky, even finer than those produced by the previous generation.
