This distinguished, elegant and persistent Mazis-Chambertin will be astonishing after a number of years in the cellar. More info

The Pinot Noir comprising this cuvée is grown in limestone-clay soils and has benefited from environmentally friendly cultivation methods (tillage, avoidance of chemicals). In the cellar, the grapes are rigorously sorted prior to cold maceration and a long vatting at low temperature, enabling the extraction of as much substance and colour as possible. Élevage is in barrels and is long, lasting 18 months. In the glass, the wine has a magnificent depth, and successfully blends floral and fruit notes. Some cellaring is called for before enjoying this wine; and why not open the bottle a little while before serving it, with feathered game?

Bourgogne Cuvée de Pressonnier Joseph Roty (Domaine) serve at a temperature of 15°C. It will pair perfectly with the following dishes: Brochettes périgourdines, Filet de boeuf en croûte, Confit de canard accompagné de sa poêlée de cèpes.

    Information about domain Joseph Roty

The Joseph Roty domain is a family vineyard of 12 hectares, established for 11 generations on the communes of Gevrey-Chambertin and Marsannay, and today run by Joseph Roty and his son Philippe. It is undoubtedly one of the most famous Burgundy producers, even if any form of communication is refused and it does not appear to be looking for new, and in particular French, customers (85% of its wines are exported). Nevertheless, the rich and sensual style of its wines deserve their good rating in the Parker guide and the critics' regularly appraisal.
