    The wine

Harvested by hand and meticulously sorted, the grapes macerated in stainless steel vats before fermenting in barrels and maturing on lees in French oak casks for 8 months. This wine is distinguished by its velvety and dense character, balanced by a fine and lovely freshness.

    Information about domain Château Brown

Château Brown was built at the end of the Middle Ages, when Aquitaine was still under English rule. It takes its name from an English wine merchant, John Lewis Brown. The chateau went through ups and downs until the purchase in 2005 by the families Mau and Dirkzwager. The property is now managed by Jean-Christophe Mau. Advised by Stéphane Derenencourt, new winery and new parcels continue the growths’ progression. The vines have an average age of 25 years and grow on mounds of silica-gravel on clay subsoil. Average annual production is 80,000 bottles of red and 20,000 bottles of white.
