Château Leroy-Beauval 2015

The wine

The 2.5 hectares of vines grow on soils of clay, limestone and silt and are farmed without herbicides. The wine is almost exclusively produced with Merlot; only a little Cabernet Franc is added. The grapes are sorted both in the vineyard and upon arrival at the winery. The grapes then macerate at low temperature. The élevage lasts 10 months in French oak barrels. Subtle aromas of oak and tobacco abound, as well as intense notes of black fruits. A highly elegant wine.
