About the Producer Vincent & François Jouard

Domaine Vincent & François Jouard, nestled in Chassagne-Montrachet in the heart of Burgundy, was taken over by the two Jouard brothers in 1990. They take pride in nurturing 12 hectares of vines bordering the region’s finest appellations. Well aware of the current environmental concerns and with a view to protecting biodiversity, the winemakers handle their vines in accordance with sustainable farming practices. Each parcel receives specific care depending on its needs, to allow the personality of each one to shine through. In the vineyards, all the techniques are continuously questioned in order to cultivate in an increasingly sustainable way. The winemakers have chosen to plough their vineyards so as not to use chemical weedkillers. In the winery, vinification involves very little intervention, and sulphur is added in minute quantities to allow the fruit to fully express all its aromas and flavours naturally.
