IGP Côtes Catalanes Coste Danjou Banessy (Domaine) 2022

The wine

Originally from the regions of Aragon and Catalonia in Spain, the Macabeu grape makes delicate and perfectly balanced dry white wines. Recognisable by its large bunches, this grape variety flourishes perfectly in Espira de l'Agly, on soils composed of schist, clay and limestone. The principles of organic growing are applied with care in the vineyards in order to allow each vine to draw all the necessary nutrients from the soil. In the cellar, the philosophy is similar and the vinifications are carried out using minimal intervention.
The elegant, light red colour unveils subtle green glints. The expressive bouquet is marked by intense aromas of white fruits, like pears and peaches, along with a light touch of honey. The rich and delicious palate reveals a great minerality leading delicately to a deliciously long finish. This cuvée can be enjoyed either in its youth or after a few years in the cellar.
