More info

Saint-Auguste is a blend of the finest Syrah, Cabernet-Sauvignon and Merlot cuvées. Matured in barrels for around 12 months, it presents an attractive deep purple hue with ruby reflections and a nose opening with dark fruit aromas, spice and a hint of the garrigue. About the Producer Triennes

Domaine de Triennes is situated in Nans-les-Pins, Var, and was created in 1990 by two Burgundy icons: Jacques Seysses, founder of Domaine Dujac, and Aubert de Villaine (Domaine de La Romanée Conti), alongside Parisian friend Michel Macaux. They were on the lookout for a Provençal terroir to create fine wine from the region. The vineyard covers 46 hectares and is south-facing, with a clay-limestone terroir and slight altitude (400 m), offering a cool microclimate. The property was baptised Triennes after Triennia, the festival held for Bacchus which was held every three years during the Roman period.Planting here is unique, growing traditional varietals alongside many which are not immediately associated with this region, including: Chardonnay, Viognier, Cinsault, Merlot, Cabernet-Sauvignon and Syrah. Rémy Laugier has managed vinification since 1997. They received organic certification in 2011. This is an exciting domaine producing tremendous wines.
