The wine
Produced from old Chenin Blanc grapes in a flint and clay soil, this demi-sec wine, matured for eight months in 400-litre casks, has a well-integrated sweetness thanks to the tautness of the Chenin grapes which balance out this cuvée. The subtle residual sugars make this the ideal companion to an entire meal.
About the Producer Vincent Careme
Located in Vernou sur Brenne, in the heart of the Vouvray appellation, domain Vincent Carême was founded in 1999. The 14-hectare vineyard was planted entirely with Chenin by Vincent Carême and his wife, who have practiced organic farming since 2007. In the winery, vinifications are carried out in barrels and casks, using solely ambient yeasts; the wines are then matured for 12 to 18 months in vats? The vineyard now spans just over 17 hectares. A flagship domain in Vouvray.
