Information
The Estaca cuvée draws its identity from Roussillon, a region with a millennia-old winegrowing heritage. Situated in the south of France on the border with Spain, the region bears the strong imprint of Catalan influence and a dry, warm, windswept Mediterranean climate that favours quality viticulture. This wine stems from ancient Grenache Noir vines, over 120 years old, rooted in schist soils. Here, the winemaking process is gentle and follows traditional methods. The cuvée is matured for four to five years in barriques and bottle.
Escata reveals a deep purple hue elevated by purplish glints. The subtle, complex nose evokes ripe red fruit, guarrique notes and liquorice, alongside mineral and smoky notes typical of schist. On the palate, the wine is a perfect combination of elegance and energy. The attack is supple and juicy, carried by delicate acidity and a subtle yet structuring tannic backbone.
