A Grand Cru with southern exposure that creates wines both tender and precise. More info

This estate is one of the most impressive in Chablis. Owning more than 65 hectares, spread across the greatest appellations of Chablis terroir, it produces profound and acclaimed wines. This Chablis Grand Cru Valmur comes from a plot of Chardonnay covering about a hectare. The estate replanted vines of this prestigious regional variety between 1966 and 1968.
Facing towards the south and south-west, this plot of land sits on a limestone soil from the Kimmeridgian era, known for creating wines with high minerality and powerful tension. However, the exposure towards the sun brings ripeness to the grapes, giving these wines a sun-kissed touch. The sun’s warmth compensates for the chilliness of the Chablis terroirs and makes the wines extremely easy to drink. So, here is a quite respectable wine which should be enjoyed after a few years in the cellar accompanying a wonderful plate of goats’ cheese, for example.

Chablis Grand cru Valmur Louis Moreau serve at a temperature of 14°C. It will pair perfectly with the following dishes: Clacbitou, Huître à la gelée de cassis, Huître à la gelée de cassis.
