In Armagnac, it is said that brandies made from Folle Blanche are the finest ones available. More info

In the middle of southwest France, you will find the Bas-Armagnac region where the famous Gascony Armagnac brandy is made. Martine Lafitte grows three classic grape varieties on her Boingnères domain. They are Ugni Blanc, Colombard and Folle Blanche. She is not ashamed to say that the latter is her favourite and is the only one out of the three varieties to be used in this Armagnac.
Beautifully elegant when some of its cousins can seem a bit rustic, this brandy contains wonderful notes of fruits preserved in alcohol, baked prunes, dried fruits and hazelnuts. The usual empyreumatic notes of coffee and toast are also present but they are more reserved, staying further towards the back, supporting this complex, light ensemble.

Bas-Armagnac Domaine Boingnères Folle Blanche Martine Lafitte serve at a temperature of 14°C. It will pair perfectly with the following dishes: Magret séché, Charlotte au chocolat, Viande des Grisons.
