The Château Falfas is matured for 11 to 14 months in barrels (30% new). It offers fruitiness, roundness, and freshness, the tannins are present but fine. The finish has a nice length. It pairs perfectly with red meats.
About the Producer Château Falfas
Located in Bayon-sur-Gironde, on the right bank, in front of Cantenac and Margaux, the Château Falfas extends over 20 hectares of Côtes-de-Bourg. Recognized as the glory of the Bourgeais by the author Bernard Ginestet (Le Grand Bernard des Vins, 1984), this domain already exported its wines to England in the 14th and 15th centuries. This château has had several owners, but today John and Véronique Cochran manage the domain. They now produce among the most famous wines of the appellation, a biodynamic wine since 1988 (now certified Biodyvin).
