The wine
The Brunello di Montalcino is one of Italy's most prestigious wines. The Brunello is generally a thick wine with a powerful tannin structure that requires at least twenty years of ageing. Once the tannins have been allowed to melt, this rich and complex wine develops smoky, spicy notes.
