Napa Stag's Leap - Cask 23 Stag's Leap Wine Cellars 1985

The wine

A shining example of balance and complexity, the Cask 23 is one of America's greatest and most expensive wines. Cask 23 stands out through the intensity of its bouquet, its incredible aftertaste as well as the balance it strikes between power and delicacy. This wine is considered to be one of the world's greatest Cabernets.

About the Producer Stag's Leap

Located in Napa Valley, in California, Stag's Leap was founded in 1972 by Warren Winiarski before being sold to a joint venture made up of Marchesi Antinori (Italy) and Château Ste Michelle (USA). Its good reputation dates from the famous Judgement of Paris, when his Cabernet Sauvignon was classed as one of the very best of French and Californian wines blind tasted. An iconic wine!
