Domain: Grégoire Hoppenot

A former wine merchant, Grégoire Hoppenot created his own domain in 2018. This passionate winemaker amplifies the brilliance of his Morgon and Fleurie terroirs.

After having spent years selling wines, Grégoire Hoppenot wished to go back to basics and create his own wines. This winemaker is motivated by his love of the earth and does what he can to look after it, which includes holding organic certificates. His past as a wine merchant means that he has a font of knowledge about the region’s terroirs, varieties and commercial techniques. In the cellar, he lets the terroir reveal all its potential, favouring gentle vinification started by natural yeasts and without adding sulphites. The wines are matured in different containers: concrete vats, large wooden barrels, and barrels that have already housed several wines.
