Domain: Pierre Bourée Fils

The story of the estate began in the 19th century, when Pierre Bourrée acquired a wine business founded in 1864 and located in Gevrey-Chambertin. Having named it after himself, he subsequently became the proud owner of a few plots of land he named Clos de la Justice, on which he planted vines. His son Bernard joined the family business, which resulted in the estate taking on the name we know today. He continued to develop the estate, acquiring a parcel of Grand Cru in Charmes-Chambertin. Louis Vallet, his nephew, whom he trained, took over the reins of the estate with his brother François. Together, they undertook major modernisation and expansion work on the cellar and vathouse, while expanding export sales and developing the vineyard through the acquisition of new plots. Today, Jean-Christophe runs the family business, following a precise and balanced viticulture approach. Tilled soils and an in-depth knowledge of the specific characteristics of each parcel yield a premium raw material, essential for producing exceptional wines.
