An outstanding vintage both in quality and quantity. Ideal weather conditions ¿ a hot and dry summer followed by a fairly damp September ¿ produced lovely rich, ripe and aromatic wines. These wines, austere and firm in their youth, have become deep, concentrated and particularly appealing. The Sauternes have developed plenty of suppleness and unctuosity. Today, most of this vintage's wines are underestimated and under priced, which make them a very good buy.
