A very fine vintage, jeopardised by difficult weather conditions. As a result of a particularly scorching summer, this was the earliest harvest since 1945. Unfortunately heavy rain hit the vineyards during the harvest and filled the grapes with water. The wines are diluted, but nevertheless supple and elegant. There were some very good wines in north Médoc, particularly in the Pauillac, Saint-Julien and Saint-Estèphe appellations. The sweet wines, ample, rich and honeyed are very good.
