Vintage description 1977 Bordeaux

A mediocre vintage with a sparse harvest. Hard spring frosts followed by a cool and rainy summer prevented the grapes from ripening sufficiently. The wines are thin and acidic. The sweet wines are disappointing, lack structure and have a short cellaring capacity.
