Information
The Echézeaux appellation covers just over 37 hectares and is situated in the commune of Flagey-Echézeaux. Like its neighbour Clos Vougeot, the terroir's characteristics are mixed: sandy in the upper parts, deeper in the lower part of the appellation, and brown limestone at mid-slope.
The wines produced on this appellation distinguish themselves with their deep, intense and brilliant-red colour. Soft on the palate, with lots of finesse. Fleshy, they remain nevertheless supple thanks to a restrained acidity and very fine, tight tannins. Elegant and fine aromas which evoke scents of precious exotic woods such as cedar.
