An intense and balanced wine to be shared with true wine lovers.
More infoLes Chagniots, produced by Maison Thiriet, is the perfect embodiment of the Côte-de-Nuits terroir. Established in 2016 by winemaker Camille Thiriet, the estate stands out for its commitment to practising eco-friendly viticulture. The vines, located opposite Château de Comblanchien, benefit from a rich soil and are cultivated using conventional farming practices.
The vinification process is meticulous and traditional. No additives are used and indigenous yeasts are favoured for natural fermentation. Each stage, from the meticulous sorting of the grapes to the slow, gentle pressing, is carried out with care and precision. The grapes are pumped over in buckets to preserve their quality, and a wooden ratchet press is used to extract the juice while respecting the structure of the fruit.
Les Chagniots, produced from Pinot Noir grapes, showcases an intense ruby-red colour, tantalising aromas of red and black fruits and hints of spices. On the palate, the wine reveals itself to be round and plump, supported by fine and elegant tannins.

About the Producer Maison Camille Thiriet
Maison Camille Thiriet is located in Côte d’Or, at the heart of the Côte de Nuits, just opposite the sumptuous Château de Comblanchien. The business was founded by Canadian cellar master Matt Chittick and Burgundy devotee Camille Thiriet back in 2016. The pair met when they were both working at the iconic Domaine de Bellene, where Matt had was cellar master since 2011 and Camille sales manager from 2014. Together they fulfilled their dream of producing Burgundy wines under their own label. Thanks to their extensive apprenticeship, they forged an extensive network of renowned winegrowers in the Côte d’Or, allowing them to source the highest-quality fruit. They strive to vinify grapes grown in small appellations and fine terroirs with the utmost care and diligence. Maison Camille Thiriet unveiled its first vintages in 2016 and is committed to organic viticulture for future cuvées.
