Lot presentation

Amarone della Valpolicella Musella 2014

The wine

This Amarone is produced from the finest and ripest bunches of grapes using the traditional passerillage (appassimento) technique of letting grapes dry to achieve exceptional concentration and richness. It is vinified at a low temperature then aged for 12 months in oak barrels and bottle-aged for at least 8 months. It offers fruity aromas (cherry, small red berries, plum) on the nose and mild spice and subtle woody notes. On the palate, by contrast, it has a firm, fresh structure, good volume, and a very long finish. This wine makes a perfect accompaniment to red meat and ripe cheeses.

About the Producer Musella

Musella is a family-owned domain located in the Veneto hills. On the 400 hectares which make up the property, only 50 are planted with vines. The domain has biodynamic certification and produces wines which are typical of the region, with great craftsmanship, such as the Valpolicella Superiore, Ripasso and Amarone. A wonderful signature. Pasqua di Bisceglie has made a reputation for the finesse and freshness of her wines.
