More infoSince the early 2000s, Thienpont Wine House have built a solid reputation based on the relationships they have forged with winegrowers committed to sustainable, environmentally friendly viticulture. Today, it offers us a white wine cuvée from Château Les Charmes Godard, classified in the Francs-Côtes de Bordeaux appellation, a confidential appellation emerging from the shadows. It is worth noting that Nicolas Thienpont bought the estate’s vines at the end of the 1980s.
This cuvée is a blend of 60% Semillon supplemented by Sauvignon Gris and Sauvignon Blanc. The vines have drawn the nutrients necessary for their development from soils consisting of clay, limestone and silt resting on a base of marl. The vineyard covers a surface area of 5.5 hectares.
In the winery, the grape varieties were carefully vinified in a low-interventionist style, with sulphur used only as a preventive measure. The wine fermented in 500-litre barrels and rested on its lees for six months. As a result, it offers a fine balance of fruit, liveliness, character and density.
