Montlouis-sur-Loire Implicite Ludovic Chanson 2016

The wine

Located to the east of Tours almost directly opposite Vouvray between the left bank of the Loire and the right bank of the Cher, the Montlouis vineyard lies across limestone plateau subsoil, the "tuffeau de Touraine", over which lie clay-siliceous and clay-limestone soils. Production here is split between still (dry, semi-dry or sweet depending on the years and sun) and sparkling (25% of production) wines.
