The wine
Redigaffi is the domain's star cuvée. Yields are extremely limited, and élevage is in barrels. The bouquet is beautifully complex, with aromas of raspberry, blueberry, blackberry and plum, and notes of licorice and pepper. The palate is well rounded, with mellow tannins and a very good length. This wine can be enjoyed with a cut of high-quality red meat or small game.
About the Producer Tua Rita
The Tua Rita domaine is located in Suvereto, in the province of Livorno in Tuscany and spans some thirty hectares. It has been owned by Rita Tua and Virgilio Basti since 1984. This vineyard is renowned and has been singled out by the Revue du vin de France magazine and Robert Parker; it ranks among the top 100 domaines in the world. It owes its reputation to two grandes cuvées in particular: its Redigaffi and its 100% Syrah.
