More info

Ribera del Duero is an iconic Spanish appellation nestling in the heart of the Castilla y León region. It consists of a large number of municipalities with a fascinating winegrowing history. Approved in 1982, the appellation has gone from strength to strength ever since, both in Spain and internationally. The vines, stretching across some twenty hectares, grow on pebbly, marly and sandstone soils. Organic viticultural practices apply throughout the vineyard. Chemical fertilisers and weedkillers have been banned in favour of a gentler, more environmentally friendly approach. Once harvested, the grapes are carefully vinified. The wine is then matured in stainless steel vats for six months before bottling.
The ruddy-red colour reveals notes of red and ripe fruit combined with subtle hints of spice. On the palate, the smooth tannins balance perfectly with powerful flavours of black fruit, leading to a persistent and fragrant finish.
