Chablis Grand Cru Valmur La Chablisienne 2014

The wine

The Chablis Grand Cru Valmur cuvée from La Chablisienne is a white wine cultivated on approximately 12.55 hectares of south and southwest-facing slopes, enjoying optimal sunlight. The soil in the Valmur vineyard consists of Kimmeridgian marl and limestone, which imparts a distinctive minerality and exceptional aromatic complexity to the wine. Manual harvests ensure a rigorous selection of the grapes. Vinification is carried out in stainless steel tanks to preserve the freshness and natural fruit aromas, followed by ageing partly in tanks and partly in oak casks, adding complexity and roundness.
In the glass, this wine reveals a pale yellow colour with golden reflections. The nose is complex, offering aromas of white fruits like apple and pear, citrus, floral notes, and a hint of the typical minerality. On the palate, this Chablis delivers an elegant and balanced structure, with remarkable freshness, persistent fruity and mineral notes, and a long, refined finish.

About the Producer La Chablisienne

La Chablisienne is an emblematic Burgundy cooperative. Founded in 1928 in Chablis, it includes around 1,200 hectares of land, bringing together almost 300 wine makers. It covers 6 grands crus, 15 premiers crus, Chablis and Petit-Chablis. All the wine makers grow the grapes with a care propitious of the coveted wine produced here. The cellar was even voted cooperative of the year by the RVF in 2014.
