More info

This estate first cultivated by the Cistercian monks of La Ferté Abbey in the twelfth century is now one of the most emblematic in the Burgundy wine making landscape. The Chardonnay vines nestles on a small parcel, formerly known as the Clos des Meix, located at 200 metres above sea-level facing south-east. This estate first cultivated by the Cistercian monks of La Ferté Abbey in the twelfth century is now one of the most emblematic vineyards in Burgundy. Once the grapes have been harvested and sorted, both in the vineyard and in the winery, they are pressed and allowed to settle by gravity for 12 hours. The vinification is completed in barrels, 50% of which are new, where the wine is aged for 20 months. The wine is then refined in vats for a final three months before being bottled.
The elegant golden colour reveals a fresh, elegant bouquet of yellow fruit with subtle hints of spice. The structured, airy palate is marked by a fine minerality.
