Alsace Kirchberg de Barr Grand Cru Marc Kreydenweiss 2018
The wine
On a parcel cultivated exclusively by horse power, this Kirchberg de Barr grand cru is made from Pinot Noir grown on marl and limestone soil. It is particularly fresh and fruity. Its indulgent quality is enhanced with a few spicy notes which make it a good pairing for a simple dish such as roast chicken.
About the Producer Marc Kreydenweiss
Domain Marc Kreydenweiss is a family affair: it was originally created by Marc Kreydenweiss, who then passed the reins over to his son Antoine, seconded by his wife Charlotte and daughters Zoé, Lilou and Léonie. At the foothills of the Vosges, the estate has a wide variety of soils, spans 13.5 hectares and owns four Grands Crus. The vineyard has been farmed biodynamically since 1999 and natural vinifications allow the terroir to shine through in all its typicity and character. We particularly appreciate their refined, concentrated wines which are energized by a nice acidity.
