A delicious blend of Grenache, Syrah and Cinsault, Les Renardières is a brilliant example of a Terrasses du Larzac and the types of wines produced by Domaine de Ferrussac.
More infoLes Renardières is a blend of Grenache, Syrah and Cinsault. The vines are cared for using organic practices and are planted at an altitude of 300m and 350m within the Terrasses du Larzac appellation (created in 2014). Biodynamic principles, such as herbal mixes, are also used. Alongside its vines, Domaine de Ferrussac manages a herd of cows and uses their manure in the vineyards.
After harvesting the grapes by hand, plot-by-plot vinification takes place so that the blends can be as precise and as balanced as possible. In the glass, the wine is a beautiful cherry colour, echoing the cherry trees that are dotted around the vineyard. The fine nose reveals beautiful notes of red and black fruits, soft spices and mint. Serve the wine at 15°C-16°C with beef cooked on the barbecue, carpaccio or herbed sausages.

About the Producer Domaine de Ferrussac
Get lost in the breathtaking landscape that can be found between Causse du Larzac and the Languedoc plains with us! The Ferrussac family’s estate has been in their hands for over 100 years. Its vineyards sit at altitude (between 300 and 350 metres) at the heart of the recent Terrasses du Larzac AOC (created in 2014). The vines are cared for using organic methods with some biodynamic principles as well (cow manure, herbal mixes, etc.). The red varieties are Syrah, Grenache, Cinsault and Chenanson, while the white variety grown is Maccabeu.
After manual harvests where the grapes are placed in crates, plot-by plot vinification occurs. Depending on the cuvée, the wines are matured in a range of vessels: terracotta amphorae, oak casks or stoneware vats… In addition to its winegrowing activities, the estate also raises cows from the French bread Aubrac. In reference to this, the wine bottle labels feature a sketch of a bull’s head. A real iDealwine favourite!
