The wine

Since the first vintage in 1993, Mailloles has established itself among the Languedoc's finest wines. A powerful wine, it combines aromas of black fruit with a hint of cocoa and leather, supported by very refined, well-integrated tannins. Careful ageing for a year gives it an extra dimension, as it develops further length and a magnificent enveloped structure. There can be no doubt that this wine is equipped to age in the cellar for many years.

About the Producer Sarda-Malet

To the south of Perpignan, Sarda-Malet has 51 hectares of vines, in the Côtes-du-Roussillon and Rivesaltes appellations. Two old grape varieties are the soul of the vineyard (Carignan and Grenache Noir planted in the 1940s), while the Mourvèdre and Syrah vines have been replanted. Currently managed by Jérôme Malet, the property was created in 1984 by his father. "My mother and I share the work so as to create the conditions to produce the wines of our dreams. It is a pleasure to see the vines grow each year and watch over the various stages, from flowering to harvest; for me, the wine is made in the vineyard. The nature of the grapes and the variety can then be fully expressed through the terroir. The property is managed according to sustainable farming principles.
