About the Producer Georges Bryczeck
Originally from Poland, Georges Bryczek arrived in Burgundy in 1938. He decided to acquire his first plots of vines in 1950. The winemaker is best known for travelling to the Vatican, with his wife, to present Pope John Paul II with a dozen bottles bearing his name. Since then, the world has come to know this unique cuvée from one of Burgundy’s most prestigious terroirs. Over the years, the estate continued to flourish, and was taken over by his son Édouard. Since 2003, his grandson Jean-Christophe has been running the family business, taking over from his father. He meticulously cultivates three hectares of vines in the emblematic Burgundy communes of Morey-Saint-Denis, Chambolle-Musigny and Gevrey-Chambertin. Each parcel, located alongside the Grands Crus, benefits from balanced, sustainable viticulture, resulting in elegant, rich and authentic cuvées.
