About the Producer Duclaux
★ Partner ProducerThe two brothers Benjamin and David Duclaux manage this domaine, created in 1928 by their great grandfather. Together they cultivate, by hand, 5.8 hectares of vines on the steep slopes of Tupons and Semons to make elegant Côte-Rôtie. Love and care goes into both viticulture and vinification and the grapes are harvested at optimal ripeness. Maturation is long and new oak is used in moderation. These wines seduce critics thanks to their ability to offer an elegant reflection of the gneiss rich soil so prolific in the southern terroirs of the Côte-Rôtie and a skilled maturation that gives them well integrated oak.
