About the Producer Château Maucoil

The story of Château Maucoil goes back several centuries. Since 1624, the château and the vineyard have formed a single entity. Generations of passionate winegrowers have succeeded one another at the head of the property. Today, the domain extends over 45 hectares of vines growing between the charming communes of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Orange and Sorgues. The vineyard combines three different types of soil, with each parcel being tended to differently depending on its needs to allow the personality of each plot to shine through. Well aware of the current environmental concerns and with a view to protecting biodiversity, the winemaker handles theirvines in accordance with strict organic growing practices. In the winery, vinification involves minimal intervention and sulphur is added in minute quantities. It is against this peaceful backdrop that the Burgundy domain produces fragrant, authentic wines that reflect the personality of the terroir, sublimated by unique expertise.
