Vin de Savoie Mondeuse Giachino 2015

The wine

Matured on its lees, this red Mondeuse has only 12% alcohol content. Lifted by the natural maturity of its berries, it is aromatic and fresh on the palate, with notes of redcurrant, Morello cherry and spices in the finish. Its lingering toasted, spiced aromas make for excellent pairings with grilled meat and game in sauce.

About the Producer Giachino

Established 20 years ago, Domaine Giachino has grown its grapes organically and produced organic wines for nearly 10 years. The vineyard lies on the slopes of Mont Garnier, on the outskirts of Chambéry in the communes of Chapareillan, Marches and Apremont. The grapes are picked by hand so that they can be kept in perfect condition until pressing. This also enables sorting of the bunches, with only the best being selected. As a result, the property does not need to use any additives or vinification products.
