With a 5-month élevage in French barrels and casks, the result is a very balanced, well-rounded wine which is dominated by fruit and freshness. On tasting, it boasts an intense, ruby-red colour, a powerful nose with notes of plums, tobacco, liquorice and spices. On the palate, there is a nice freshness and elegant tannins which showcase the aromas of cocoa, spices and plums. The finish is very good.
