The wine

Les Gravières is produced from vines with an average age of 30 years planted on very high quality chalk and clay soil. The wine is élevaged in oak (25% new) for 14 months. It is elegant and delicately extracted with aromas of blackcurrant and damp earth. With its richly flavoured, silky palate, this wine flies the flag for Santenay.

About the Producer Bruno Colin

After taking his first steps in the family Domaine Michel Colin-Deleger, Bruno Colin took over the reins of his own farm in 2003 and signed his first cuvée a year later in 2004. His vines cover 8 hectares spread over five appellations of the Côte de Beaune: Chassagne-Montrachet, Puligny-Montrachet, Saint-Aubin, Santenay and Maranges. Bruno Colin's values are seen in the image of his Chardonnays: clean and pure. The meticulous care he brings to his vineyard and cellar allows him to present white wines that perfectly reflect the terroir from which they come: mineral, polished and taut. An export praised by the Revue du Vin de France: "a very beautiful collection of Chardonnay terroirs which are perfectly worked and vinified, with good élevage and remarkable tension. The reds are progressing. A very reliable location".
