Faugères Château des Estanilles Tradition Michel Louison 1993
The wine
Matured in tanks and barrique barrels, this cuvée has an attractive ruby-red appearance, with a bouquet featuring notes of red berries, black pepper, scrubland, kirsch and tobacco. A rather meaty character in the mouth is offset by an attractive mineral palette with a long finish featuring licorice notes. A very attractive gourmet wine, which will combine perfectly with dishes cooked with aromatic herbs.
About the Producer Estanilles
Nestled in the heart of the Faugères appellation, this domain was created by the enthusiast Michel Louison at the end of the 1970s. Since 2010, vinification has been managed by a new team headed by the young and prodigious Julien Seydoux. They have adopted organic and biodynamic viticulture and their wines are coveted for their velvety texture and elegance.
